I probably shouldn't have done it because I have an intense dislike for Steam, but I voted for the Panzer Corps series on Greenlight.
Please note that I only did it to financially benefit The Lordz Studios, Matrix, and Slitherine and that I will in all likelihood NEVER play Panzer Corps on Steam.
Voted for you guys. Looks like a good opportunity for more exposure.

Imagine a Panzer Corps collection discounted in Steam. Hope that happens.
Good. This is one of the games in the Slitherine stable that does seem like it could be successful with a more mass market release.

On a side note as we get this concerning Q quite often after the announcement:
We have no plans whatsoever to do Steam exclusive game projects, all our products will always be available through our own digital online shops and always will be.
So for those who like Steam can use it, if we get there at all, for those who don`t like Steam just buy from us direct as you have always done.

i guess i don't buy a DLC for my PC:W at Steam, atm... but maybe a box at the Spiel 2013, with a trade fair discount ;)
If you guys get on STEAM will those of us who already own Panzer Corps be able to activate it on STEAM using our product code?
That is the plan although we first have to talk to somebody at Steam that explains how everything works... ;-)

No... never say never, but we are more or less family after so many years growing up together, we do some things with other publishers, but Slitherine Group is our home and most likely will be for many years to come. In this case we both believed it was the right time and the right series to see if we can reach and attract a larger, more mainstream audience, but our focus will always be the fun niche of wargaming, that is our core business and first love.

(Meanwhile, I hope the Lordz sell a blue million on Steam without feeling like they're getting ripped off by the way Steam radically discounts games on occasion. The Lordz deserve all the money.)

Agreed. Distant Worlds and Battle Academy seem like the other obvious picks to try releasing beyond just the Matrix/Slitherine/dev stores.
After just having to go through all the crap of getting new downloads of all my Matrix/Slithereine games via Plimus (and I have a ton!), all I can say is that I welcome Steam.
Steam isn't perfect, but if I want to delete a game and reinstall it at a later time....no problem! After having to look up proof of purchase emails and zip back and forth between the Matrix, Slitherine and Plimus sites, I'm pretty frustrated with the amount of jumping through hoops I had to go through simply to install games which I've purchased and faithfully supported. Hell, even GoG keeps track of what you've bought...and it's one stop to reinstall! Someone has forgotten the guiding business principle of KISS....keep it simple, stupid! Steam is a far more simple process and it's no coincidence that 90% of my game purchases over the last two years have been downloaded from Steam or GoG.
So for the simple reason of not having to deal with Plimus and quickly-expiring download codes again....I hope this happens quickly.
I suspect they already reached their profit target and are willing look into mass distribution already.
