Check out this battle/last stand - 21 Sikhs vs 10,000 Afghans. Around 600 Afghan bodies were found around the post by the relief party! :o

Thanks for bringing that article to light, Boggit. I had no idea.
Wow.
Just...wow.
Sikhs are tough mofos.
Did any of those 'X v. Y' warrior shows ever have a Ghurka v. Sikh matchup?

The only occasions I can think of are the first and second Sikh wars. The British EIC came to an arrangement for mercenaries with the King of Nepal after they came off worse in a war in 1816, so Ghurkha units would have been available for some twenty odd years before the Sikh Wars - let me check it out for you...
Looks like they did... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurkha#British_East_India_Company_Army

Now that's interesting, Boggit. Thanks for posting it.
We saw the Gurkha's (or at least, some of 'em) a few years ago at the Edinborough Tattoo, and they were a very smart and impressive body of men. A credit to any army.
It's very interesting, thanks for bringing it up. I'm always fascinated by last stands.
Considering that the Mexicans claimed to have lost rather few at the Alamo it is interesting. Gurkhas, Sikhs and the various flavours of Afghans
have a very long history of killing each other with real abandon.
N/M.
Damn. That's...impressive.

Incredible. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Boggit.
