Friend pointed me to this site. Lots of games from the 1980s and 90s.
Not free anymore, apparently they are having trouble keeping it going. However, they do offer some classics like Master of Orion, Armada 2525, Emperor of the Fading Suns, etc.
Edit: I'm removing this link. There is no such thing as "abandonware." It's best we don't link to those sites, no matter how old the games might be.
They have the Gold Box series!!! This sounds too good to be true.
That is a leacher's site. He sells games he has linked to at abandonware sites.
Not that abandonware is legal. It isn't.
Some sites are totally free. Also if the games are in GOG, then it's better to get there since you're paying anyway. Games would be compatible to modern computers already.

These rules are not only meant to protect us at Grogheads, they are meant to protect our users, as well. Downloading a copyrighted work is illegal, too, so it's not just the site that could get in trouble.
