Very moving story. I hope the Canonization effort is successful because Rev. Kapaun needs to be remembered for a long time.

Wow.  If I'm ever tempted to think I'm a badass (not likely in any case, but one never knows when hubris may strike), please remind me of Rev. Kapaun.  God bless, sir.
