Man, Ubisoft is throwing a lot of curve-balls lately. It appears this FC3 stand alone is going cyberpunk...and stars Michael Biehn!

Sigh. Guess it is time to get back to my FC3 campaign.... :-\
Meh. The screenshots don't inspire me. I'm not a big sci-fi shooter fan but the art direction looks cartoonish and it's sort of a turn-off. FC3 on the other hand was fantastic. I'd gladly shell out more cash for another island packed with enemy bases. Going stealth on those base takeovers and knifing everyone was so much fun.
This is so wildly different that I'm certainly curious to see how it turns out.
I'm enjoying Far Cry 3 but I just don't see the draw of this.
I see the draw of it--the original Far Cry was basically an 80s action film troper plus mutant monkeys after all--I'm just not drawn (yet).
I finished Far Cry 3 recently and enjoyed it immensely. This new game looks intriguing and even though I loved Far Cry 3 this one still hasn't reached out and grabbed me yet.

Thanks for sharing the gameplay video Rooks. All this game appears to be is Far Cry 3 with some different window dressing. The premise seems the same meaning you run around a wild island killing bad guys and looting. Maybe I'm judging too early but I'll wait until the game is 2 dollars until I buy it. OTOH if one hasn't played Far Cry 3 and likes the setting of Blood Dragon it might be worth the money.
