Yes, the game does look to be shaping up like the hit EU3 was before it.
theres just so much scope with the game, and incorporating elements of CKII make it irresistable - its a long while since i waited excitedly for a game - but this is one of them - to the point of picking my first nation and what to do
Sounds good. I just started playing EU3 again and it never gets old.
Any word yet on the system specs? I remember having to upgrade my video card for III

I really really can't wait! I love EU more than any other series (even CKII, oddly) and the new changes are really exciting!

I like the EU games, but I have to wonder if IV will be like three with a bunch of addons that make the game even more enjoyable.

Oh, unquestionably. As I've said before, I look forward to picking up EU4 Complete Edition (with all expansions/DLC) 5-10 years from now. ;)

I suppose CK2 has been holding more of it's value regarding the regular Paradox sales. It's not been two years yet, however.
^ That, and CK2 wasn't that expensive to begin with. $20.00 is a very reasonable price to pay for that much gaming goodness.

'geek! Paradox's track record speaks for itself, however.
Not that EU4 won't be good; I suspect it will, in fact, be quite decent and fun to play at release. But given Paradox's development history over the last decade, it's clear that the smart money is to simply wait until they've announced EU5, as the entire EU4 title will then be cheap to pick up (and include all expansions). ;)
wasnt CKII stable on release? not a challenge just genuine curiosity - i thought it was
i usually find as long as its not a game breaker i hardly notice - im an avid gamer but i do it to relax as a hobby, im not one to sit there and think 'im damn sure the fur on those Kingly robes should be grey/white and not white/grey - THIS GAME IS BROKEN!!!!!!'
Yep, CKII was terrific right from release.
Read through all of the dev diaries that have popped up so far. I'm definitely intrigued. The new power system sounds interesting, and like a much better way of managing a whole lot of subsystems a lot more simply.
