I love the concept of horror games, but I just can't play them. It's completely different to watching a film; the feeling that it's me this is happening to, rather than a character in a film, is just too much to take. I really like Amnesia but I'll never complete it, sadly.

LOL...very interesting spin on this, thanks for sharing. I have the opposite effect, I can't watch those bloody horror movies because they are real people, but in a game they are just computer creations. Silly when you think about it but what can I say, it's how I feel.
You owe it to yourself to man up and finish Amnesia, it's a great ride. You can do it!

I could quite easily play it during the day, but that isn't how it's meant to be played. At night, with headphones, I can manage about ten minutes per session. It would take quite a while... ;)
I enjoy horrah' games except for when I'm sitting there in the dark playing, headphones on, and my wife just can't resist coming up behind me and touching my shoulder.
I usually bang my knees on the underside of my desk, which delights the little minx to no end.....
No way could I play anything like that with my back to a door (shudder!).
^That's exactly the way my game room is set up...back to the door, with headphones, facing 100,000 acres of woods.
I typically lock the door so no one can sneak up on me. I would wet myself even while playing My Little Pony with the Smuck Barber DLC.
