A sizable deposit of natural gas sits between Israel and Cyprus.
Ties are becoming closer between those two nations.
- as an aside I wonder if this is another reason why relations between Israel and Turkey have become cooler in the last few years -

That could very well be. I wonder when the gas deposits were discovered?
Back in the 1980s, the Soviets found the biggest natural gas pocket ever found in Siberia.
In trying to develop it, their engineers cracked the surface crust, and it all escaped into the atmosphere.
So, if you smelled something funny in the air, the planet had a forced fart.
So global warming is the commies fault! Man, I always knew it, they are behind everything. ;)

The same folk now responsible for the pristine quality of 20 million year old lake water in Antarctica.
We could not hope for better stewards, could we?

Great graphic. It would be a bit funnier with the Ikea assembly manual smileys.
