I just read that a new WWI mod for the original Company of Heroes game has been released, but the post did not include any links or further info. Anyone have any further news on this?

This has been in the works for, like, forever, no? Glad to hear it's finally out. Haven't yet tried it but may this weekend, which will likely be the first chance I get.
I have to say, sadly, I've given up for now on CoH2 and have gone back to playing CoH. Partly it's CoH2's bugginess (for me at least), but even more, it's that I increasingly dislike the feel of the game. I know that's subjective, but there's something about the look and feel of CoH2 that seems inauthentic to me. I fired up CoH with the (incredibly awesome) Blitzkrieg mod, and was instantly more hooked playing it than anything I had experienced with CoH2. And I have played CoH to death. It still rocks and still keeps me very entertained.
Gus, if you still haven't spent time with CoH, man, you really really should.

May be sacrilege but I am going to play the mod before the regular game.
I want to get the Blitzkrieg mod too.
Blitzkrieg mod is just tremendous. Normandy '44 and Battle of the Bulge also excellent. But for whatever reason, I prefer Blitzrkieg above all -- just a blast to play, and pace seems slightly less frenetic than Normandy'44.

Just downloaded it and extracted...everything works fine. Right now players can only play as the Brits against the Germans circa 1918 in SP, but they are planning French and Austrian packs. Very professional looking, does not look like a mod at all...

Very interested to hear your impressions Gus.
This has a strong possibilty of.becoming quite addictive...there are a lot of different maps included for.both SP and MP.

Is this standalone? I didn't think mods had to be greenlighted (greenlit?).
I have an older version still loaded on my machine...wonder if I should jettison that and get this newer one...

Definitely! Lots of improvements over the earlier versions.

Gah, nevermind. I didn't think Skirmish was single player. I thought there was a single player campaign.
