I subscribe to World War II magazine, and I'm thinking of picking up Combat Aircraft Monthly (pricey...$80 per year). Can anyone recommend another good groghead approved magazine?
Military History Quarterly used to be the bees knees. It's been a while since I had a subscription. It was pricey but worth it.
MHQ used to be put out in hardcover. To save costs, they added an article and made the cover out of stiff paper. When my subscription ran out, I did not renew. I did like Military History magazine. Haven't had a subscription in a couple of years though.
Yeah all the issues I have are in hardcover.
I keep meaning to renew my sub to Aviation History. You may want to check that out.
Weider History, which owns MHQ, Armchair, et al, just had a massive round of layoffs a couple of months back.
Their current COO is clueless. I do not have high hopes for them. It's a shame as they have some real talent there. But the company lacks strategic vision. :/
