What's the difference between Fallout3 and Fallout New Vegas? If I get just one which is a better choice for the FPS challenged?
Fallout 3 is set in Washington DC...a lot of people did not like it. I did though. Fallout: New Vegas can be considered Fallout 3.5.

Neither is really played as a FPS, luckily. When you go into combat, you use an aiming system called VATs, so it's not really a run and gun. As to which one is better, it's probably a personal choice. I thought the atmosphere and creepiness of Washington, along with all the famous landmarks, was better than Vegas. However, Vegas is probably a little better game, engine-wise.
If I remember correctly....in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, you don't have to use the VAT's system, you can play it straight up as a FPS, though it is difficult (in my opinion at least) to play it that way. I liked them both a lot. New Vegas had the better story and had to make choices that really impacted how the game played out, the quests you got and the ending.
Yeah VATS is optional.
OK, last question before I plop down my Gamebucks:
Dishonored- How 'twitchy' is it? Can I get through it (with a reload or four) if I suck at reflex games?
^Totally. There are myriad ways to complete each mission. It's a great game.
Not a lot for me this go round...but the sale isn't over yet :)

Never got round to xcom on the day of the big release, pleased to be catching up now and sins for gaming with huw - I occassionally feel I've missed out with skyrim, metro, assassins creed, witcher hoohaa but in the end I don't think they're for me

- All the Skyrim DLC (I already have the original so I passed on 'Legendary Edition, or whatever it's called)
- Dishonored + the DLC (the dlc is cheap)
- Euro Truck Simulator 1 (I already have 2 but it's not Mac simpatico, my Winbox is still in post move pieces, and I need something to play ASAP)
- Agricultural Simulator (don't ask)
- Bridge Project (you build bridges, duh)
- The bundle with Tachyon, F-16, MiG29, Joint Ops, and all the Delta Force stuff

Not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing but I only got one game from the sale. Civ V: Brave New World, funny thing is it wasn't even suppose to be on sale. ;D
I liked the way I stuck to my "I'm only going to buy 2 or 3 games" promise Fail.....
Made it a couple of days without a purchase but caved on the last day and picked up Retro City Rampage and X3 TC & Albion Prelude for a grand total of $11, so not too bad. I did pickup Evil Genius from GOG. I have to say though I will cut playing time out of other games, I am very happy with all of my purchases and if you are like me and you factor out $/per hr, that is some cheap entertainment and good value on your return. Still ashamed of how much crap I have though.
My biggest surprise is how much I like EU Truck Sim 2, already averaging $.80 on the hour for that one. Games I have tried and like the most are Wargame Airland Battle, EU Truck Sim 2, and Brave New World DLC. My only regret thus far is Evil Genius, however I have not given it a proper play through. Held off on the Skyrim DLC as I am playing with Falskaar which should last me until the Fall Sale which I plan to only put a small amount into my Steam Wallet and stick with it :-P

This is indeed true, although my collection is modest. Actually, I've been playing more board wargames than anything else, since that is my real preference.
I could do with a decent DAK type game at the moment. 'Blood and Sand' looks OK, although I would have liked one that covers the Tunisian Campaign as well.

On a HUGE plus note, I finished Far Cry 3. A brilliant game (bit samey) but good story...well worth the money imo (and I paid full whack for it)
