Hell yeah. It's great, how many wonderful games are being released right now. I can't even keep up with them!
I recall a time, a decade ago, when there were huge slumps for interesting PC games which weren't run-of-the-mill shooters. I couldn't satisfy my game collecting addiction, and would end up purchasing crap I knew wasn't even very good. Now it's overload. Wonderful. :D
Feast or famine?
i will kickstart my game funding.

I can't wait to hear what your stretch-goal rewards will be. :D
^That Kickstarter is a good idea.
There's a new Populous coming out?

pffft i provide a link and everything - shall i just ring you and read it out to you?
Ugh, and the wife says we need to try and not use the Credit Card this month!.. We were really bad this summer.. lol.. and I'm not the main culprit... I think I can wait on Rome II, but really wanted to pick up AGEOD ACW II..
If I have learned anything, the answer to solving/ignoring all of life's most pressing issues is to go golfing.
On that Populous (called Godus); I certainly hope that video you linked contained placeholder art!
Beta I think.....
As a dom III afficienado you're not going to argue art and graphics with me?
The art did look a little lame.
'pretty' some said - you're a tough crowd!
I never called it pretty. :P
Ill admit its not the term I'd use but its not terrible!
I never called it terrible either. 8)
It looks like an episode of Sesamestreet for Pete's sake!
You can say what you want about Dom, but it surely doesn't look like Sesamestreet. :)
Yeah thanks for the link 'Geek but that is one horrific looking game.
I have the opposite problem, I can't find a single game I want! :-[ All games seem to be either dumbed downed versions of the original (re-makes) or have that been there, done that feel to them (sequels).

Lmao, ok ok I get it
Please tell me none of you are taking food off the table to buy games. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. I think it's healthy we're seeing a lot of that here. ;)
After all, I am a doctor.
I think it's called Attention Deficit Disorder(ADD) or Gaming Attention Deficit Disorder(GADD)
PCs seem to have limited most peoples capacity and ability to concentrate to nothing more than a few sound bytes before they feel a need to move unto something new or different.

I pretty much dropped all PC gaming expectations once I got Rome II. That should cover things on the PC for quite a while even though there are a lot of great games coming out. I'll play many of them eventually.
On the boardgame front -- it looks like some small close action scenarios may be coming up. One small scenario just came out very well in Flying Colors so that's where things are at.
This would seem to be an inexpensive period -- BUT-- It looks like there are a lot of books about 18th century naval warfare out there. And many of them are not cheap.
Plus the wife just helped me neaten up the Man Loft so I have lots of room for books about 18th century naval warfare. It could be an expensive series of months ahead.
Any chance you can rent out that loft? I have no space left and a stalled house renovation.

No! It's going to be chock-full of books on 18th century naval warfare. or Warefare. whatever that is.
But I have all these WWI books that need a good home. And winter is coming.

Sounds to me like someone needs to re-read Game of Thrones.

The Barn. The Barn. You can put them in the Barn. That's where all my WWI books are.
