I have the activation code for a game. I enter it into Steam and it's accepted, but the "Next" button to install the game does not appear. Nor is it listed in my library of games. When I reenter the serial number, it says I already own the game. Has this happened to anyone?
Michael
Is it a pre-release game? Where was the game purchased? Is it region compatible? Have you tried closing down steaming and restarting it?
Might be pre-release (Ace Patrol: Pacific - PC version). I've even tried reinstalling Steam. 2K has given me three different codes to try. They can't figure it out.
I tried Steam Support. They said the game hasn't been released, though I saw Pocket Tactics has played it.
Michael
It hasn't been released... Pocket tactics played a preview build, not the release version.
Yeah, but the publisher gave me the Steam codes - unless they gave me the codes for the release and not the pre-release.
Somehow, I have a feeling the problem isn't with Steam.
Michael
...sounds to me like they gave you the code for the release version. I thought I read that Pacific Skies will be released tomorrow. It'll probably work/install tomorrow afternoon.
Yeah, it's not been released yet. Sometimes you also have to restart Steam when you have pre-ordered/activated a game, if you've left it running for awhile, before it shows up (on the day of release).
Yeah restarting Steam has helped me a lot lately.
