It's supposed to be available on Steam as well.

Those of us who backed Wasteland 2 kickstarter got a copy for free for either GOG or Steam :)

Wasteland (the original) now available on GoG

If I didn't have such a big backlog, I'd buy it today. As it is, I still have it installed on on my Windows 95 PC and haven't finished the game of Wasteland I started months ago.

I loved Wasteland when it came out.  But I think people will be disappointed if they load it up now.

You're probably right. Most people would probably be disappointed if they tried to play the original Bard's Tale or nearly every other ancient classic PC game.

I got it free with my KS. Why do you say this? Is it really really dated?

Also, this reminds me, you know what I want to see remade/updated to run on modern systems? Mines of Titan. Now THAT was a game!

The PC version of Wasteland had EGA graphics, which were top of the line for 1988

I loved this game....back on my Commodore 128   ;D

I played it on a C-64. I think my cousin played it on a Vic 20 with a tape drive!

I actually bought the Bard's Tale remake just to get the original three that came with it.  Unfortunately, the emulator just plain sucks so I'm better off just using the DOS versions in DOSbox since it runs far better.
