This poor situation is probably contributing to the Chinese demands for expansion of their holdings near the Phillippines and Japan.
It's not their holdings. It is international waters.
As a fairly wealthy country they can take the approach of joint development. They have the money to buy the resources. If they get into the habit of just seizing whatever they want that is close to their territory they are going to creep across all of Asia before people wise up. Or maybe not. They have used the Norks to test reactions. They know what will be put up with.

Nobody is completely neutral, but Fox generally will try to bring representatives from both sides to discuss an issue. But that's for the news programs. The O'Reilly/Hannity stuff is just op/ed and while it's fun and sometimes informative, I don't watch them as they aren't really designed to inform so much as reinforce beliefs the audience already has.

The best thing they could do is to try to report the news honestly.

This indicates the claiming of all that territory in the sea, is partly based on mineral mining the sea bed.
We would let independent firms lead the way, but they are making it part of national policy.
