Title: Office Dead Pool 2014
Post by: GJK on December 31, 2013, 11:09:09 PM
Anybody here want to participate?  What the hell is the "office dead pool list?".  Well, it's simple.  Predict who will die in the new year (2014).  Take their age - 100 and that's how many points they are worth.  Make out your top 10 list.  Whoever has the most points in one year from today wins.  Easy, right?  Ok, here's my list (age):

1. George H. W. Bush 89
2. Kirk Douglas 97
3. Zsa Zsa Gabor 96
4. Fidel Castro 87
5. Abe Vigoda 92
6. Hugh Hefner 87
7. Nancy Reagan 92
8. Billy Graham 95

My long shots (for some good points):
9. George Zimmerman 30
10. Lindsay Lohan 27

Post your list and let's see who wins in 364 days.

I like your list. But one of my outside long shots would be Miley Cyrus.

Are you allowed to duplicate parts of other entrants' lists or must each entry list contain only unique names?

I gotta believe you can reuse names.

Abe Vigoda died like 20 years ago but is being animated by Disney.

It's in Wikipedia, so it must be true!

Quote
Aykroyd originally wrote the role of Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters (1984) with Belushi in mind, but rewrote it for Bill Murray after Belushi's death. Aykroyd joked that the green ghost, later known as "Slimer", was "the ghost of John Belushi" and based on the similar party animal personality.

Yep. And I think it says something in there about John Candy being considered for it, as well as some others I can't think of right now.

I miss John Candy, and Phil Hartman.  Gone too soon.

In the longshot category, I heard that we almost Anne Hathaway to a Hawaiian riptide.  Nobody would have seen that one coming.
