Did any of you actually watch this? I just tried to watch it this morning but had to turn it off. I know you have to suspend disbelief to varying degrees to enjoy films, but Lucy gets science so horribly wrong so many times that I was actually offended. I couldn't finish it.
Can one be wrong about hypothetical science fiction?
Well, yes. You can postulate hypotheses that contradict current knowledge. They also get current science wrong, including that utterly contemptible "we only use 10% of our brains!" nonsense. Perhaps if I'd watched more of it I'd have learned that souls weigh 21g too...
I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it.

I agree with this to an extent, and I do try to suspend disbelief as much as I can (I'm a big fan of Star Trek for example), but Lucy was just too much. It irritated the piss out of me.
I watched it on video.... It's not great but it's fun... ish ... brain candy.
Sure the science is wrong in lots of places but it's got ScarJo kicking ass! How could it be so bad you can't watch that?!? :D
Heh. I'm not terribly impressed with her to be honest. The only film I've particularly liked her in was Lost in Translation.
I thought that the first half of the film was excellent, but the 2nd half was less impressive. I especially felt let-down by the ending.
Oh yeah the ending sucked out loud. :P

Agreed, though that had more to do with the fact that she spent the 2nd half as an essentially omnipotent super-being. Kinda hard to make fights dramatic or interesting when nobody presents anything resembling a threat to the protagonist.
