Some more AWESOME arma3 mods

The first one is called Eridanus Insurrection and it will ultimately be a total conversion into the Halo universe. As of right now, the modeling is more or less complete on all UNSC forces, including Army, Marine and ONI Specops, namely ODST. Most of the weapons are modeled as are a wide range of vehicles including the infamous warthogs and pelicans.

Basically, UNSC forces are sent to the Eridanus system to quell a rebellion. Insurrectionist forces are typical guerrilla type troops with a mix of Halo universe and modern weapons and gear.  All the terrain so far is stock, but I've seen videos of models for futuristic buildings and structures in the works.

Best of all, it has orbital insertions by drop pod!  There are some really solid mission designs out there on the workshop for this mod too.

So the next mod I'm going to post about is even cooler! Its got some of the most unique specops features I have ever seen in a mod. It has HALO jumps, insertion by submarine and fairly sophisticated sniping and EOD features. The HALO jumps in particular are very impressive and it is something that I feel ARMA3 needed from the very beginning.  I'm Very excited about the future of this mod. Stay tuned.

These next shots are from the other mod I found that has me totally impressed. Its called "SpookWarcom" and has some very advanced options for setting up HALO jumps, submarine insertions and other SOCOM and EOD fundamentals.  I am most excited about the HALO suite. It requires special gear, special aircraft and special planning. I'm still learning how to use it, but the potential for mission making is exceptional.  Here are some shots from a really quick 35,000 ft. jump I set up in the editor...

This is an XHR-1 Vampyre. It is a stealth drone capable of sub-orbital flight. The mod comes with the Vampyre, but is also compatible with a C130, C17 and IL76.


This is some of the specialized HALO gear that is required for a jump above 30,000 feet. You will not be cleared to jump until you are properly equipped and have been checked by the jump master

This one is after I've been in flight for a bit. We are almost at the drop location and the plane has been depressurized. That is ice forming on my goggles!


This one shows the AAD options. You can set your chute to open automatically at various altitudes.
