Hey all,

Just thought i'd inform people that a new car racing management sim (loosely based on NASCAR) has started development (and is about 30% done already) titled Finish Line Ultimate Racing, to be published by Grey Dog Software. The Dev Journal and screens are here on the their forum: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=228

Brief details/features: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/news.php?id=352

I'll be here if anyone has questions. :)

Interesting...I know some folks have been waiting for a Nascar management sim...personally not a big fan of auto racing, but I am always looking for good sport management sims so I will keep my eye on this.  Any rough release date?

it might shock some but as an American who lives in the South NASCAR < F1.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Yep, the game will be designed so it can easily be modified down the road for usage with F1 and other types of racing. You will be able load in your own league with your own names, crew, track names, etc. and many of the ratings will easily carry over to many racing formats down the road.

Hmmm...I dunno.

NASCAR crashes > F1 crashes? Or NASCAR crashes < F1 crashes?

That's about the only thing that is amusing about running high-performance cars in circles for 200-500 laps. Though there's a severe OCD component to any sports objectives, I suppose.

Yeah but that's why F1 is superior to NASCAR.... any idiot can drive fast in a left hand circle for hours on end. It takes real skill to drive fast on a twisty course.  O0

I'll give you that. I did see a race in San Antonio back in 1989 or so, but can't recall what cars there were - went with a friend of mine who is a HUGE racing fan. I do remember enjoying watching it and thinking it was a hell of a lot more fascinating seeing these guys maneuver through city streets than through constant 200-mile-long left-turn courses.

Tons of new updates/screens and feature discussions, and the game has progressed to about 35-40% done now. People are really getting into the game and its potential: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=228
