So anyone willing to do the team a favor and try before we buy?   This is one of the few games I had an interest in and was hoping the city building would lead to some real strategic warfare and diplomacy.  Steam reviews are far too inaccurate at this point to judge and the game not out long enough I don't think for people to see how deep it goes.

Anyone else watching this one, I was kind of hoping it would be like anno, Europa universalis, and empire earth all in one with deep mechanics and production chains.

I just became aware of it yesterday. It did catch my eye.

IGN has a review up and they think it needs some work. The city builder part looks good but the world map... not so much. The combat looks a little simplistic and there seem to be some bugs particularly with the game save.

I'm still intrigued but I'm going to wait and see if they keep at it.

Well seems the early consensus on steam is also matching up to this, as far as a city builder it's OK but the whole strategic map and war are pretty much a let down.   Found this post on steam from the developer, after seeing this I'm going to wishlist but not buy it at this time.  Not very re-assuring they released it as a feature complete game (not EA) and then admit it needs work :(   Guess, I'll be playing the other 50 games I already own but have not played this weekend ...

We will continue to work and upgrade the strategy aspect of the game, we will not stop here, so rest assured that it will get better."

Anybody ever take a look at this? I've been tinkering. Devs recently released a major update to the warfare and strategic aspect of the game, which seems to have been the part that received the most criticism. I've been running through the tutorial on city building and so far it feels a lot like Anno in an alternate early 20th Century world. Looking forward to branching out and trying the combat portion of the game.
