I heard or read somewhere that the Navy is almost down to it's pre 1916 level of number of ships.  Something in the back of mind is thinking that's not a good thing at this time.

BIW is well behind schedule on the Zumwalts (for reasons not entirely in their control) and it's causing delays in the next batch of Burkes . That's a real problem. The Burkes are the workhorses of the fleet now.
