I wonder what the endgame for Blizzard is with this?

Do they want to drive people whol left back to WoW?  Its an old engine and now plagued with the mature market issues of content vs new players of a MMOPGs.  I certainly feel nostalgic seeing the clips but when I think of all the hours I spent playing WoW its obvious that I dont have anything like that commitment in me now.

I think most of the original players of WoW are in the same boat our time is now much more tied up in RL.

If its new players than the history/lore of the original is lost on them and rankly the game engine/graphics is old so I dont see them capturing new players and rebuilding their subscriber base for long term.

What do you guys think will happen?

Seems like they've reacted to the poor reception to the first trailer and hence focused on spectacle for this one.  It won't work on me; I remember the first trailer and concluding that the film looks piss-poor.

I doubt they're trying to get more people back into WoW, but would rather make money from a film franchise spinning off a property with cachet value.
