Hm. I think what confused me was that they went through a fairly small roll-up door in the middle -- but it would make sense if that was in the center extrusion (in the photo) with two rollup doors, one leading to each hangar.

one thing thats crossed my mind is the wonderment that some studio just hasnt outright bought a surplus Navy ship to use for tons of scenes across all genres.

Next-to-last-ep was quite decent and better than average by the standards of this show, setting up finale.

I continue enjoying all the little verisimilitude touches from filming on an operational ship. The making-of docs on the DVD, by all rights, should be awesome.

Last ep for the season clearly wasn't the series finale: it will return next summer.

Some more rank stupidity to move the plot along, but less than in some previous eps: really, XO? You think surrendering the whole freaking crew to the afterdeck is the best way to deal with one guy with a gun on board and snipers supposedly surrounding the ship??

So The Last Ship series was going to continue tonite, but due to similarities to the Orlando shooting, won't.  Rescheduled for sometime in the future.
