Heavy metal and FRIDAY were how we were raised

While it'll probably be primarily a boardgame weekend again, I'll be doing some PBEM in Pike & Shot Campaigns and JTS Campaign 1776. I may mess with Firefight some more; despite limitations it's a fun WWII game that isn't too fiddly.


A buddy picked up Heroes of Stalingrad during the Matrix sale, so I may try and coerce him into some LnL PBEM with that.


Definitely going to spend some time going through the Battles of the Age of Reason Primer in VASSAL.


If I get bored with the above, I may try a campaign in AGEOD's Thirty Years War.


Mostly though, I just want to get rid of this killer headache, which is seriously interfering with any gaming plans...

   Weekdays its boardgames down in the ManApartment.  Weekends -- well I got Mordhiem and the witchhunter DLC on sale instead of the Gaviteam Blau game.  When my six year-old saw the trailer for Mordhiem, she had some no-poopy but quite postive remarks about it.  Now she's watching Bob the Builder -- which seems more constructive.

You guys are convincing me to give Mordheim a try. I did break down and buy the Graviteam Blau DLC. Yet another game that I haven't given the attention it deserves.


I find it tough to boardgame during the week. I'm usually too fried from work to keep rules in my head. I am about to start working on an improved Man Cave for gaming though, so maybe that'll give me a good space for it.

Picked up HoI 4 yesterday and played some cooperative online with a buddy.

I'm interested in how your cooperative online experience went! -- people who try to play Parardox's standard suite of games in mp, fascinate me.  O0

Probably not very well since in the next paragraph which you didn't quote, he states that he refunded the game. Just a hunch though...

You mean that paragraph I didn't quote where he mentions a number of reasons for refunding it which had absolutely nothing (so far as I can tell from the descriptions) to do with the cooperative online experience?

Wow, I must have been blind or distracted not to refer to that paragraph for his impressions on the mp...  ::)

Gameplay aside, it was OK, until it crashed after 2 hours
