Quote from: ArizonaTank on February 08, 2022, 03:04:57 PMAt first thought, I wonder why I would play this...  When I was young, I loved building real models.

But on second thought, maybe not a bad idea. The problem with models for me is that after I have built one, what do I do with it?

This seems to solve that problem.
Sell 'em on eBay - that's what I do.

I think I've made circa £500 selling the models I made. I had no idea there would be a market for it - after all, for me, the enjoyment is in the creation.

But people will buy them (no idea if they were individuals or people working for museums or something - Bovington Tank Museum in the UK has a HUGE collection of models made by people).

If I recall, yours were quite good. Working on anything now?

Thank you. There are some amazing modellers out there.

I'm working on this we baby

But - it's been slow going. I've been focussing on playing Fields of Fire.

Selling models on eBay couldn't be a business. Not for me anyway. I normally didn't make the cost of the model back, let alone paints etc. But - it depended on the subject matter.

But it saved trying to find space to put them. I didn't need them around - I enjoyed building and painting them. I was happy for someone else to pay to have them. It was my daughter that suggested I sell them...I had no idea there'd be a market for built and painted models - go figure

try Luft46.com and youll see why US airplanes developed the way they did in the late 40s and 50s.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

I'm interested but that site has an encryption error (in Chrome).

This is what I get on Firefox : Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to luft46.com.

Sir Slash

I refuse to believe that. Next thing you'll tell us is there's no real Easter Beaver.  :beaver2:
