Released today. Getting reviewed as the ultimate "vanilla" Empire experience. There are some key updates and changes, but I gather many of the problems some had with the original release are still there since these are hardcoded into the game by CA. Also, if you can't play without the popular mods that have been released for this game over the years, then the vanilla experience will probably be lackluster.

If anyone tries this on mobile I'm curious to get any feedback you have!  I have Rome and Medieval on my older (maybe 7-8th gen) iPad, and I already felt like it was pushing the boundaries and my battery.  Does Empire run OK?  How does it play with the touch controls?  I imagine nothing drastic has changed but iirc there were some changes between Rome and Medieval controls that definitely felt for the better.

Anyone playing this?
