Absolutely.  I love the idea of Distant Worlds but I hate the game itself.  I have high hopes for Deep Space Settlement!

I remember seeing a video presentation for this game over at SpaceSector a while back.  It turned me off for some reason, but I don't recall why.  I want to say it struck me as being too fast-paced, but don't quote me on that. 

Still, I presume it's going to be a long while yet before the game is released, so we'll see how it develops.
