Very brief gameplay included toward the end of the trailer.   I can't beleive they are making a tenth game in this very long running RPG series.  I enjoyed it up through 7 but could never get into 8 or 9.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TWvpD-w0BCY

Wow.  That actually looks to have stayed somewhat true to the old ones, at least in the little clips interspersed there.

I've been playing some old M&Ms on occasion.  I'd say the old DOS Might & Magic 4/5 is probably my favorite of the bunch, and have played that more than 6 & 7, of which most people seem to have fond memories.  After seven the series became a buggy unfinished mess IIRC.

Definitely been wanting a nice new one for a long time.   ;D  A bit scary that Ubi is publishing it...

Like the look and the muffled reference to "Sheltem". That takes me back to the very first game- a long time ago in a galaxy far away called the 1980's.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

I am cautiously optimistic. They certainly geared that marketing to classic fans and not a new "action action action" market. That bodes well. But Ubisoft is known to screw things up...

Second one was my favourite, but enjoyed them all up to six after that I think they went downhill. The in-game footage in the end did look good.

I know it's too much to hope for, but I would love to see the early Might & Magic games updated graphically. An updated Might & Magic VI would be awesome.
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

The very brief clips pointed to M&M6-7 style gameplay, what with the 4-character party and 3D graphics (minus the 2D poster board gfx of the old ones).

I'm just a bit partial to the old tile- and turn-based style of M&M4-5.  Still, this would be an instant buy if Ubi doesn't somehow manage to F it up.  Hopefully this time there's an auto-pause for when combat starts, unlike M&M6-7.  :D  Hate being Johnny-on-the-spot with the spacebar at all times.

Six was by far my favorite in the series.  Still fire it up from time to time.  We'll have to wait and see regarding this new one.

After the horrendous train-wreck of game play that has been the last two Heroes of Might & Magic games, not to mention the buggy code and crappy scenario design, I don't think I can ever bring myself to buy an Ubi product ever again.  HoMM was my most beloved gaming series of all time, but Ubi's clearly just interested in spitting out formulaic crap to maximize revenues off a brand name.

The fact they're completely happy to use DRM that actively compromises game play only does more to convince me that Ubi puts profits before user experience.  There are plenty of other game companies out there that I'd prefer to give my money to.  The M&M series was fun (I played a lot of 3, some of 4 and 5, I think) but grew pretty stale to me pretty quickly.

I picked up M&M 7 on GOG not too long ago -- I had nostalgic hopes of old-school RPG, but have to admit I didn't last long with it.  After Morrowwind and Oblivion, I found it impossible to go back to such a (by today's standards) terrible looking 3D environment.

Still, talk of Ultima and M&M revivals is very interesting to me -- Ubisoft or not, I'll keep an eye on this one.

I still vividly remember the "wow, this looks amazing" feeling when I first held the box for Might & Magic II in my hands, with that awesome map-art cover.  M&M2 and Bards Tale II remain my favorite CRPG experiences.
