Divinity: Dragon Commander on GOG. What the heck is this game? It's over 8gb to download! :o Anyone know anything about it?

Not a single thing. Turn based strategy AND third person dragon combat? Certainly sounds interesting.

It is a mix of political sim (you have to make decisions about your empire that please or anger several factions), a dating sim (you marry a princess from the factions and have certain related quests), a total-war strategy map (you invest in technology and move armies built on a tbs map), an RTS, and an RPG (you can fight as your dragon commander with a number of upgradable skills). There have been some positive previews about it around.

I am looking forward to it.

I think I love it for the pure and unadulterated camp factor.

You have to realize that this is a game where the undead faction represents an extremely religious and conservative force (makes sense, right, they are literally from an earlier time) which will oppose the poly-amorous, androgynous, and bleeding heart vegetarian elves when the topic of same-sex couples comes up. Yes - that is an actual example of a political decision in the game. I think it is brilliant for its topical lampooning under fantasy tropes.

FYI, the undead and elves are the conservatives and liberals; the dwarves are a capitalist-expansionist corporate group; the Imps are atheist, science-first technocrats; and the snakemen are hands-off, small government, freedom-loving libertarians. Camp and politics - sounds like my type of game!
