i missed the boat on the original, and played JA2 which im sure was TB - anyway, good news ahead

Man, I hope it doesn't suck.  The new RTS JA and the online one ripped my heart out... twice.

I never got Back in Action.  I figured I'd pick it up on a Steam sale at some point.  Is it really that bad?

I picked up JA: Back in Action at Half Price Books for $5.00.  Downloaded the patch (which fixes most of the big issues and bugs that the reviewers ripped the game about) and have been having a great time with it for the past couple of hours.  I like playing Phoenix Command - the set of RPG rules that detail modern combat in great detail.  JA: Back in Action IS Phoenix Command on the computer.  It's an RTS until you want to slow down the action and plot moves and actions in great detail.  With the updated patch, this is a bargain of a game that I think blows away the originals.
