You can, but I've never tried.  I'm quite happy playing skirmishes against lots of AIs. :)

Noticed that Pinball FX2 released on Steam. Tried it out last night. I've now bought three of the table packs and I'm eying the other three.

If you like pinball, give it a try. Really well designed virtual tables that also incorporate things that could never actually happen on a physical table. Like Darth Vader force crushing pinballs. Or Boba Fett jetpacking from one platform to another. Or Thanos turning the entire play surface upside down and backwards. THAT was an interesting experience.  ;D

From what I've noticed of your gaming habits, you are going to LOVE The Burning Blue.  Great boardgame, lots of meat, and lots of historical research.

I know!  There are several unbelievable things about me getting the Burning Blue now:

1) Why didn't I get it before (the answer is -- I think-- that there have been so many BoB board games that just rehashed the idea that if the Germans had just knocked out the radars and concentrated on the RAF Fighter command they would have won -- this makes for a really sterile game in that what the RAF does is pretty fixed)??
2) And everything that has changed about informed perception of the BoB -- Stephen Bungay being one summary (though you have to read The Wages of Destruction first because SB still believes the Germans had not fully over-mobilized their economy by 1940 -- ie to the point that the railroads were already falling apart) -- anyway SB's The Most Dangerous Enemy + The Wages of Destruction + The Burning Blue -- gives a very different world for the BoB, one in which there is no formula for an overall Luftwaffe victory (since there's no real chance of that), so the battle is about what happens to each set of raids -- though even at that level theBB provides a completely revised frame work ( HF/R/T relays alone is a big change).  And of course there is original research embodied in theBB.

Well, the Burning Blue is going to be solo when I play it.  I'll set up a best case for a particular raid and then let it be randomized by circumstances.  This kind of raid randomization is actually built into theBB, but the German player (who doesn't exist when I play solo),
has to do things like roll and be "bound by honour" (here I quote the rules) to do as the roll says.

This solo mode worked pretty well in PQ-17 (which probably should have been designed as Solo since the Germans don't have many good options and Ultra and other intercepts and breaks let the RN read their mail anyway), so I'll keep at it.

Once I wrap up my M2TW game, I may get back into Diablo III or Skyrim for a bit, and the finally hit the tutorials for CK II and AJE. Trying to resist preordering Rome TW also. That's a game all unto itself.

I was within a hair's breadth of winning my M2TW campaign and was foiled by the Castilians. Now I am being attacked by the Sicilians too, further pushing back my victory. Didn't play anything else like i hoped, but CK II is imminent in the next week or so...

I ended up playing a little Klingon Academy and Crusader Kings 2 after I got back from Fargo Sunday afternoon. 

I've also finally finished tweaking Birth of the Federation's Balance of Power mod to my liking -- finally getting ready to do another AAR.

I ended up doing all World of Tanks.. I know, I joined the show late, but it's frustrating and addicting at the same time!.. I'm sure I'll grow tired of it at some point.. lol.. my light tier IV tanks, fighting monster 7's and 8's is getting tiresome (when you get hits and they still say 100%).. lol.. I know I know, gotta upgrade properly..

I couldn't be arsed with WoT when I eventually got round to it.

It was very much like all my experiences online (WoW, Eve Online, Battlefield 3) where people who have significantly upgraded think it's funny to pound a n00b.

I really couldn't be bothered with that online mentality - which is why I steer slear (for the most part) from online play.

It's a shame - because I thought it looked pretty interesting...

i am a noob in all things game like, but i never got that impression in WoT. at least in the low tier battles i am stuck in i always know why i was killed and never met the gold buying teen monster from hell.
but maybe they tweaked that aspect a little.
