Too bad it's ISO only, if this was PC/Windows even I'd back this project, bummer! I wish kickstarter would clearly state the platform/OS for projects!
This is the first software game I've seen from Spain, I wish them good luck.

The game description reads to me like it should of been a fantasy D&D type of game, not a WWII "inspired" game. I mean "resources", "actions" and "hit points" aren't something that you'd normally find in a WWII game that wasn't an RTS squad level game.  This game is mostly undefined as to what the units are or consist of other than the picture on the card and they fight on a terrain-less battlefield and the scenarios (or "missions") are just generic types and non-historic.  Maybe fantasy wouldn't be the best theme to of used (with Magic and 100's of others that are well established and out there already) but I don't think painting WW2 artwork on to it was such a good choice either.  The game is so generic that it could of been about anything, so do something that hasn't been done (much) already.  How about something that would be a hit with the younger generation; a hero-based, mission orientated pc/card game where you take on the character of a wanna-be pop-singer and you have to go through different levels of performances to reach the top and be the "GALAXY IDOL".  Or sumsuch.  Really, the game could be anything; calling it WW2 isn't being fair to most other WW2 games already out there.

Did you watch the videos on the game web site? All card games have actions, resources = ammo. I guess "Conflict of Heroes Series" or "Lock 'n Load Games" aren't WWII games because they have hit points too.

I'm not saying that it's not a WW2 game or couldn't be a WW2 game - just that the game is so generic in details in regards to the units, the missions and the battlefield itself.  It could be anything you wanted it to be really.

Maybe it'll be a fun game, I don't know.  I'm just curious as to why they opted to do a WW2 "theme" on it.

Hello guys,

Ny name is Isidro Téllez and I'm the Producer of "World War II: TCG". Doing my daily media search for information about our game I have encountered this interesting thread and if you allow me I want to participate in the discussion to try to explain and discuss the points mentioned, any feedback we can use to make the game better and clear is greatly appreciated.

First of all let me explain a bit about the game platforms, one of the most important features the game will have is that it will have a Cross-Platform PvP system, meaning that Android users will be able to battle PC users or iOS users, making the matchmaking system very wide and fast. But due to bein a very small studio we cannot launch the game in all platforms at the same time, therefore we have made a roadmap with the different platforms estmated dates that is as follows: October 2013: iOS -> Late November 2013: Android -> Late December 2013: Facebook/Kongregate -> Late February 2014: Steam.

The Stretch goals of Kickstarter will only accelerate the proccess of the ports since we will hire an extra programmer to help us dealing with them. So as you can see the game will be multiplatform in half a year, my suggestion if you find the game interesting would be to pledge and get some great Booster pack Bundles and save them once we launch the game in the platform you want.

Now let's get more into detail about the comments GJK made, first I have to say that they are pretty solid arguments I understand them and accept them but let me explain a bit our thoughts behind them and maybe we can find a commont agreement or a better way to appoach them!

As you mention our game is more closer to the Standard TC games like Magic, Ascension, WoW TCG than to the military ones like Upfront, Echelon of Fury or Battle for Hill 218. But this is intended, there are already absolutely great Military Strategic card games out there, but on the other side there are not many or almost none Traditional TCG with a World War Theme, so that's why we decided to jump on that.

Bear in mind though that despite the game being based on traditional TCG mechanics (Attack/Defense, turns, decks and resources) we wanted to add as many strategic/warlike features that could make the game as WW2 alike without leaving the traditional TCG mechanics. Here are a couple of unique warlike features that we introduced on "WWII: TCG":

- Double lane: The game will play a lot with the Reinforcement lane and the Front lane, unit deployment has to be placed properly, Units on the reinforcement lane will go always to the front lane if noone is already there but if the front lane is already occupied by your own unit, then its time to put support units on the back, being: Artillery, Medics, or Tank repairmen.

- Unit Promotion: You can promote your units to make them stronger and gain unique abilities, all your units will start being a Private, but they can be promoted to Sergeant and afterwards to Major, gaining more stats and special abilities.

- WW2 Based Campaign: In the game you take the role of a soldier Hero, but you will play your own role in Historical WWII campaigns, you will be able to play Operation Barbarossa The fall of France or Operation Sea lion, we want to make sure that both traditional TCG players and WWII history lovers can find themselves engaged to the game, it can sound a bit preposterous but that's one of our major objectives.

That's basically it, sorry again for disrupting the thread but I found this topic really interesting and with very valuable feedback, so please let me know whatever feedback or suggestions you may have about the campaign or the game.

Cheers guys!

Sounds good, looking forward to the PC release.
