BF4, AAA FPS Titles and Console

I'm really not enjoying Battlefield 4's single player campaign. It's not even a great story at the moment. After BF3 - this is a disappointment.

I am well aware people see BF games as multiplayer only - but as I stated in another thread, BF3 story was superb.

And I'm not totally surprised - I had heard the campaign was weak. So I'm just having my say. I got it cheap anyway - I'm certainly glad I didn't pay £40 for it.

It comes across as very, very console orientated...you know, where developers think the console playing crowd absolutely need to do something EVERYWHERE because they think they all suffer from ADHD? Like walking around a ship to find a soldier. That really couldn't have been automated? FMV? Nope...because console players really need to be doing something everytime.

And I've noticed that from a whole host of AAA FPS releases...occasionally in the past but moreso recently and mainly because I bought a host of them over the last week in the sales and have played each of them for quite some time.
