Thanks for the advice guys. Homeworld it is. Maybe followed later by Attila and then 7 Days to Die.

the thing that everyone should keep in mind is this:  there is pretty much no well known sci fi space universe that hasnt been modded for the Homeworld series.
Star Trek, all series
Star Wars, all eras
Babylon 5
Battlestar Galactica
Space Above and Beyond
Macross/Robotech
Gundam
there was some serious work done for a Honor Harrington mod that was shut down by evil lawyers.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Is there a best, hands down, all around Homeworld mod? Is the Steam workshop set up for the remastered version with compatible mods yet?

Complex and PDS are widely considered to be the most polished of the HW mods.
I recall the Star Wars mod being really well done.
