It didn't happen the second time through. I created an account for their server because I wanted to play an asynch game, and when I did it reset my campaign to the beginning. Fortunately at this point was I able to replay the first five missions in half an hour and get back to where I was.

^^ Jeez! I'm glad you said that; I was thinking of creating an online account for reporting bugs if nothing else. I'm not so far in that it'll be problem yet, but that could have been a problem later.

I asked this on the Steam forum and still haven't gotten an answer, but I'm totally confused as to how the XP system and armory work. There are times I think I'm buying upgrades, but they don't appear in my game, while abilities I haven't purchased sometimes do.

I must fire my copy back up - I played it for a while but haven't touched it lately. I suspect there must be some updates since release ??

In fact I asked it earlier myself -- how does the XP system work?? You brought back an answer from the devs, which kind of made sense, but I still don't understand why playing missions with tac marines applies XP to unlocking other tiers but none toward unlocking the 10 tiers of tac marines. :-\

My question was more specific about how to actually use stuff in the armory. I didn't realize until I thought about it that most of the armory stuff is geared towards pvp and skirmish.
