I have a question - which RR Tycoon would You recommend? 2nd (Platinum Version) or 3rd ?

RT2 over RT3 for gameplay, but RT3 over RT2 for looks and interface (rail building). If they are cheap get and play both.  O0

Personally I agree except for "RT3 over RT2 for looks and interface"--I'd say Railroad Tycoon 3 over Railroad Tycoon II for tunnels.

I bought RT2, RT3, & Railroads! (all 3 again for $8.77!) from GOG.com in order to get the DRM-Free versions. I had always preferred RT2 over RT3, but after installing and playing one RT3 scenario I found that I enjoyed it more now than I did when it was released in 2003.

I also repurchased the X-COM series for $7.45 to get the DRM-Free versions of the games. I have only installed X-COM: UFO Defense so far and was disappointed to find that its gameplay bogs down on my Windows 7 machine.
