Here's a scenario from the Tyrant Module for Great Battles of Alexander.  I think I have stuff from 4 different games/Modules in here (Tyrant, Hoplite, GBOA 1995, GBOA 2015).    Makes for a heterogenous look:

About half an hour into the battle (or around the middle of turn 2), the more-or-less Syracusian Hoplite Center crashes through chariots and skirmishers and a lot of tribal infantry.  Despite being hit on the flank by Carthegenian Sacred Cavalry, they hang on, but just barely.  When the Carthegenian reserve tribes hit them, it will probably be the end since the Carthegenians will still have the Sacred Band horse and foot and the Syracusians will be down to Spartans and Corinthians and Etruscans:

40 minutes into the battle (end of turn 2) --The Syracusian center holds on (one out of 5 phalanxes collapse -- pretty lucky) routing thousands of tribesmen.
The better troops (spartans and Etruscans vs the Sacred Band) jockey for position -- the Celts open the fight with a very good flank attack on some Libyan veterans:

Sadly, just after the one hour mark, in the first few moves of turn 4, the Sacred Band phallanx on the far left of the Syracusian line collapsed (after surviving only one earlier, no collapse throw) which left the Syracusian Etruscans and Spartans to roll up the Carthegenian line and clean up the battlefield.
