Everspace. Rouge-like Elite Dangerous?

Who has tried Everspace?
I just found about about this game through Kotaku

Doesn't really interest me. Looks nice, but I understand it's a level based rogue like, not really an open universe space sim. You start in one sector and have to clear it out, then you move to another sector and have to do  the same thing, etc.

You're right. Must be like one of those endless space shooters of the 80s.
