Just had to share. Hit the Top 700 on one level. And I think I've still got some room to improve.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Hrrmm.. I keep considering jumping into this.

And you're not helping!  :P

2 is better than 1.

The first one was lots of fun, but the second one is more difficult, has more stuff to play with, and encourages you to make use of the other forms of the game.

I still haven't done any multiplayer, but there is an "endless" level where the orcs keep coming until you lose all your rift points. The cool thing with that is you accumulate skulls (used as money) to buy upgrades and additional equipment. In the first game, playing a level through with the base unlocked items could (if you were good) result in more or less a perfect score of five skulls. Now the first time through that's almost impossible, and it rewards players to play the Endless game a few times, get more gear, and then replay a level several times. That top 700 score I made didn't result in five skulls - I lost a couple of rift points. That means that the replay value is actually very good, and I'm seeing myself playing this game like I played Defense Grid - over and over.

That's my concern with these RPG-Tower Defense games.  The replayability.

While the Dungeon Defenders one has the carrot-on-the-stick with the supposedly huge amount of loot to be found/purchased/traded with others, and this one seems to have some of that factor, too, I'm still not sure if that's enough to keep me interested very long.

Does this one have multiple 'classes' to play, with different mechanics and skills for each?

I'm not normally a guy to replay a lot of games, but Orcs Must Die 2 is something I'm doing over and over - I think most tower defense games facilitate that style.

As for MP - I don't know. I think there are only two classes. But the items you use and how you upgrade them has some serious variation.
