Jarhead, thanks for the thorough explanation of the weapons and attachments. It sounds like the weapons and system are more flexible than how they were handled in Far Cry 3 (even though they weren't bad). It's nice to use the same weapon with several sighting applications rather than having to carry an additonal gun or going to a safehouse or store to change attachments. In Crysis 2 I didn't care for the Ceph weapons. Hopefully they're better and stronger this time around. As you, I'm not much into archery but if the accuracy, power, and range are reasonable I'll give it a go.

My Crysis copy hasn't arrived yet but it's only been 2 days since shipment and I opted for free shipping. But with your thread and other member responses I'll be better prepared for what lies ahead. It's also good to hear the graphics are phenomenal.

At another site there was some displeasure at wargamers playing and talking about "non-wargame" first-person-shooters. But I say there is no other genre that gives a player the sense of weapon intimacy (for lack of a better term) than there is with fps.

Wow, breathtakingly gorgeous screenshots of Crysis 3 environs and settings. What is your GPU Jarhead? I have two factory overclocked Nvidia GeForce 560's. They handled Far Cry 3 with all max settings and have done well with everything I've thrown at it. Borderlands 2, wargames, high-end racing games, etc.
