Now that I will have a computer that can run ARMA more than a slide show, how is ARMA III alpha?  I have II and all add-ons and will be able to bump it up past low (like putting on glasses for the first time....).  I read the other thread but was wondering now that some of you have had time I was wanting to know about the editor and the performance etc...

Also, cannot wait to get FSX up and running.... full tilt now!

I'm running ARMAIII with an i5 and 1 gig graphics card.  This seems a little light for ARMAIII (and for ARMAII as well), but with most things
turned down and visual distance set to about 660 meters, I can see detail on anything within about 100 meters and have a roiugh idea of the landscape out to many kilometers.

I know the editor well and it works as well as ever.  The two things that are most surprising are the ragdoll effects and the sky.  Next in terms of surprise are swimming under water and a sneakier, more aggressive AI.

One website I used to quickly generate missions is http://www.plannedassault.com/

The site allows you to custom build missions and then download them.... it also supports a lot of mods.
