If you can get it real cheap then buy it. It looks really cool and works well.... just not the same as old Sim City's.

I agree. Simcity 2013 is a really fun game. It is, however, not as engaging, challenging, or as fulfilling as Simcity 4.

I have only played in single player mode. The only challenge I found was trying to build the first city in an uninhabited region. I could not produce enough incoming citizens to support moderate wealthy citizens to support my business core. The easiest solution is to simply start another city in the region. Suddenly my housing demand shot through the roof -- in both the first and second city. It's obviously programmed. (If region = Cities(+N), then residential demand = +50%)

They have done an excellent job of making information available to mayors. Eye candy is great. Your cities will seem much, much more alive. It looks spectacular. The implementation of building modules is very good.

I like the improved transportation options and controls within a city, but I don't like not being able to create my own regional transportation system.

Fans of Simcity 4 should definitely get it cheap, especially if you held back because of the MP requirements. I'll admit that it does fulfill the 1 turn more (1 hour more) phenomenon of many great games.
