Patch 4.7 is out with the new inventory, Aurora MkII. A new mission and various other things.
Downloaded, loaded in and setup my charater again (loaded my saved face), checked my joystick layout still works. Ready to rock. I still have my in game money from the last patch which is good.

I immediately encountered an annoying bug on orison in my hangar though. You start their and unless after loading you take the lift to another level, you have to listen to the bar doosh doosh on repeat ad infinitum. I am not a doosh doosh fan at the best of times. When I thought initially it might be intentional I was not a happy man :P

How many times are they going to redo the inventory system ?  They are still going round and round about the flight model.  They did add the ship armor system which is the best new addition.  Might actually make large ships worth while.

I did not think they had redone the inventory system that much. we had almost no inventory originaly. Recently they made us go to terminals instead of being able to access our main inventory from city or space station. Now the interface has changed in a massive way that allows proper stacking and dragging.  I actually like the old more physical one better though.

With ship armour now, things start to make sense. Little ships can no longer simply punch through ship hulls after getting through shield mitigation in numbers. You need the appropriately sized gun to peel open the hull. Then the small ships can have at the innards. However ship componments on the exterior like guns can still be destroyed by enough small calibre weapons fire. I like it.
