I still have bought nothing! I think my only purchase will be Making History - The Great War.

I have never played Baldur's Gate either, or its sequel, or Icewind Dale, or its sequel. I have hard copy reissues in the shrink wrap in my PC desk waiting to be played...

I always thought the pricing on the Skyrim DLC was sinful.  I still only have the base game, as a result.

For some, yes. For me the timing was always right. I had just completed 50 or 100 hours of play and was ready for something new in the Skyrim world and the DLCs fit the bill nicely. Always felt like a I got my money's worth.

Thanks for the additional information on BG guys, finger getting closer to the purchase button:)  I always see games compared to BG so intrigues me to see what all the fuss is about and for a cheap price.

^ Pretty much this. I posted earlier I have like 4 copies of this game now...original, original again, GoG, and now Steam Enhanced Edition! 

I actually played through a full dungeon in BG1 a long time ago and enjoyed it well enough.  But mainly, everyone is always going on about how these games are the tops for classic RPG playing.  So, I got the most up to date version for the price of a steak plate lunch and that's probably about 100 hours of gaming in there.

I say get it!

Skryim is so awesome...the DLCs were worth it at full price.  For the pennies they're asking for them now...totally worth it.  A sinful steal.

Honestly, this is good quality gaming.  It's worth the asking price.

I own it, but every time I play it, I never get far....not sure why.....some reason I lose interest quickly.

Could it be that it is TOO open ended? No sense of mission, or direction.

Could very well be....it drives me crazy though since it is a game I should love....I think it might have to do with I never know how to create and level up characters, never know if I do the right thing...I know that exists in other games too.....I know this will sound petty, but one part of the game I don't enjoy is when you have to pick locks...some reason I always struggle at that:)  Wish there was an automatic way to do that...I know that sounds so small...but I am easily distracted:)

Hmmm..not sure why I didn't look before...but I just found an auto lock pick mod......maybe time for me to try again?

Mehh... They were good RPGs for their time because there weren't many good RPGs at that time.  I definitely wasn't sad to see the old thin and rigid AD&D ruleset go after 3.0+ came out.  I was also regularly annoyed by the "You must gather your party before venturing forth" transition block.  It's not the only series to have slow non-combat movement and general click-wait-click-wait syndrome but it's one of my most memorable.

I've still been tempted to get the new version despite my complaints about the engine & mechanics.  I never finished BG2, but it was probably due to the glacial pace of wandering around at times.  ToEE had the stretches of down time but it's game mechanics were far more interesting.
