That was a long game.  Sorry for bailing so quick afterwards.  I have problems sitting for too long due to back injuries.

I had fun that round, even though I never even bothered getting into the gunner's seat.  Spent my whole time micro-managing the tank platoon.  Hopefully I learned how to herd cats a bit better.  ^-^

Is there anything going off tonight?

Another nice n00b game would be good because even though it was just Asid, Yskonyn, Nefaro and me, I still felt HUGE pressure - especially when my callsign was shouted!

So I'm not ready (anywhere NEAR ready) to join a proper server game yet

However, if pilots would need to do daily what they are capable of doing, nobody would dare to fly anymore."

Yes but the following situations can confuse the issue:

•   When you observe another vehicle "F8"
•   When you are in "F5 Map" view
•   When you detach a platoon.
•   When you are in control of more than 1 vehicle/platoon.

Pressing "Participants" in the "F5 Map" view will give you a list of who's who.

It will get easier. Pen and paper helps me :)

No - I don't mean about confusion - I meant "Go here, do that"...I was frenetically changing from gunner to map to external to gunner...

It's all good though - it heightens the senses.

I may not be on after all, having heard of todays list from the boss. We'll see. During the week, Monday to Thursday I'll be available from 20:00GMT.

I concentrated on commanding my tank (or platoon) first, and jumped into the crew seats as a second priority.  I figured that there are AI crewmen to take care of that stuff, but there aren't any that will actually order the tank around much while it's under your control.

When I ran a tank platoon in the second game Friday, I never fired a shot from the Gunner's seat.  I was more worried about micro-managing my platoon and keeping them from exposing themselves for too long in the range duels, or keeping a good pace & formation when trying to catch up.  I may have micro'd a bit too much but I think it may have helped in some ways.  My platoon still managed to get some kills at very long range.
