I only mention because, and don't tell anyone, I missed an episode when first broadcast.  I know I know.  Unforgivable and completely out of character, but, the lady in my life had a trip to the emergency room and there was no way I wasn't going to be there.  So, I went to Amazon and bought the episode for $1.99 iirc.  I also believe that it is still in my Amazon stuff, so I can go back and watch it at any time.

I've chosen to do without cable for years now, simply because I don't watch enough programming to justify the cost. The flip side of that savings is I have no issue with purchasing a seasons worth of my favorite shows, such as Sons, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Justified. A full season of any two of those shows still comes in cheaper than a months worth of cable, or at worst, the same cost. Lessor shows I can wait until they are free on Amazon Prime or Netflix. The only issue I have with Amazon is I can't watch the show until the next day, so I have to avoid spoilers like mad!

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

I loved the show but I think overall Breaking Bad was better and more consistent.

Breaking Bad was amazing, but never gave me the sheer enjoyment that Sons did. BB was clearly better written and more consistent than Sons, but I never cared for any of the characters as much as I did the Sons. As I mentioned, I think that was Sutter's great strength. Besides Jessie and WW, the rest of the Breaking Bad cast usually annoyed me.

It took me a few tries to get into Breaking Bad. But once I did I could not stop.

Sons is sort of like that. Great start, mediocre after-start, and now it's soaring. Some of the stuff they do to each other, damn. Tig just had his daughter burned to death in front of him...daayyyyyummm.

Actually, at the end of the season Tig walks out of a shower and realizes it was all a bad dream. Or wait....that was Dallas. Nevermind.

Before he took the part, Kim Coates, who played Tig, told Sutter he wouldn't/couldn't play Tig as a straight sociopath. Tig had to have layers. As it turned out, that's exactly what Sutter had in mind.

Yeah, that was kinda fucking intense. Also setup Tig's character for the rest of the series.
