I never paid much attention to that game because for some reason I had it in my mind that it was the precursor to of GMT's "No Retreat" (don't ask my why, I have no idea other than the scale is similar).  I was just reading the reviews and some forums on this one and it has me very interested.  Tim, I really like the graphics that you've done and have a couple of titles laying around here that have your name on it- good work!  Would you be doing the "de-dux" version of this game as well?  Is that something confirmed or just a rumor at this point (about the reprint/update)?  PE, let us know what you think of this one.  We seem to have similar tastes in our games so if this one passes the smell test with you then I'll be very inclined to pick up a copy for myself.

Broke out my recently received copy of "Triumph and Tragedy".  This game has been getting some good comments, and after playing a bit solitaire, I can see why.  The game plays pretty quickly, but gives the players a wide variety of decisions.  Basically, balancing between diplomacy, war, building units and technology research.  It is listed as "low solitaire", but I think it plays OK that way.  But I can see that it will really shine multi-player.  Can't wait to get it front of the gaming group next weekend.

It's 1939.  The Western Powers have managed to convince Franco to join them, while Hungary has joined the Axis.  Turkey is leaning Soviet.  The Germans have heavy tanks, the Soviets have Motorized Infantry and the Western Powers have Naval Radar.
