Digging around in the attic today, look what I found:

I knew I had another box of games somewhere. Besides this I found my 2nd Edition Battletech, AH's Gettysburg, And original GURPS set, and quite a bit else, including gaming magazines and GDW's Desert Shield Operations Map, which I had marked up with the positions of known Iraqi units...

Oh boy :-)

You didn't know? My Corps has already sailed to Berlin. We got there 3 days ago and we've been in the Tiergarten on the piss ever since. -- Marshal Soult, October 1806

I need a much bigger table, first.

That you have not one is a grave sign of weakness, my friend...

Then again, I was a minis gamer first so something like this is hardly daunting.

Oh, and GURPS hardback or soft cover?

I am, of course, assuming 1 ed.?

Softcover, but 1st edition.

Game of GMT's Fire in the Lake, this past weekend at the Kingstowne Gaming Brigade (KGB), Kingstowne, Virginia.

This pic is mid-game.  The NVA ended up winning easily after the VC and ARVN got into a vicious knife fight.

Just finished a vassal game of Ukraine 43.  Played with my local game group buddy, but did it over vassal just for convenience.

This is about turn 5 of the first scenario.  Zhukov has just managed to punch through the German line to threaten Kharkov.  But the Gross Deutschland Division has just come in by rail, and will manage to stop the Red Tide in its tracks.

The Germans eventually win the scenario

The boy and I finally got around to setting this up.  Three hours of fiddle...and this is half of it.

American beaches.  I've clearly got enough stuff to do a three-boarder...not particularly close to Neptune.  That's OK, I've only got so much house...

Nice!  I tried to pickup a base copy of Memoir a couple of months back at a LGS, but they told me that the game was on back order from Days.

Memoir'44 is great!  I have the original and some of the expansions, but need to get more.

My first post here, hi all!

I've got Fire in the Lake on my table right now as well. I bought the game on release and couldn't quite wrap my head around it so it went on the shelf for awhile in favor of lighter fare. Now I'm giving it another spin and having a blast playing as the US vs bots. Pretty slow pace at the moment as I'm learning the game as I go, especially the bot charts, but it's incredibly engaging. I could spend all day looking at the map and considering the possible moves. Not that I really know what the best moves would be just yet. I'm about a third of the way through a full campaign, by the end I think I will have a solid grasp, maybe!

Looking forward to Liberty or Death and Falling Skies. I have a feeling I will want all the COIN games before I'm done.
