God willing and the creek don't rise, I should finish posting up the final game of Survive Harder Season Two: the screenies are picked and the text mostly composed, it's only a matter of imageshacking and pasting the code into the text (with some final narrative tweaks I hope), and then copy-pasting the results here with proper final formatting.

Then I can at last start playing Season Three!  :D

I am celebrating, and recovering from, a win in CMFI's Troina campaign's 3rd battle, "Hill 1034". Battle 2 was murder but battle 3 is a double homicide. One lone company and an engineer platoon against 450 meters of open terrain to a hilltop building complex guarded by German trenches, barbed wire, MG bunkers, mines, AT guns and supported by armor and mortars. The only hope of a win is to use your plentiful arty to clear the way which of course I totally screwed-up. But I got the win-- literally assaulting the last German-held building with 1 min. left in the scenario-- for the loss of 64 casualties including 32 KIA. But we cost the Germans 153 casualties and 1 AFV.  I need a break. My blood pressure can't handle another Sicily-Hill-Thing right now. So I'm headed back to Skyrim to walk the quiet woods, chase a butterfly, watch the sun go down and see if the bard in Whitewater knows any new songs. :) I'll worry about the war again on Monday.
