The first developer diary for World of Warplanes has been released.

It has English subtitles, but for any of you who speak Russian now's your chance to use it.

They had better be careful with the flight models, because air combat simmers tend to be very vocal about BS flight models.

No doubt I will certainly give it a try when it's released. It cracks me up that they are willing to release a WWII game without the British or Japanese. It's like releasing an American Civil War game that doesn't include the Union.

I know why they're going that route, but I don't agree with it.

I think they had to get something out. In the interview they've already mentioned that both those nations are already being planned.

I've got an interview in the works with them and I asked them about how they are trying to balance the game between hard-core fans and more casual players. I'm eager to get a reply.

No British or Japanese plains at the first release?? That sounds like a fatal error. Almost as bad as releasing World of Tanks without German armor.

I've gotta say I can totally see myself being blown out of the sky over and over in this game. I've never been great as a flight simmer, but I might be tempted to try with this one.

well until you get up into Teir 5 mediums, one could argue that there's no American armour either    :P :P    ;D

Glad you asked that question, Windy, I wondered about the link as well.

just got into the beta. downloading now! still waiting for my planetside2 invite though.

uninstalled. just dont think im a flyguy. will stick to the tanks!  still waiting for PS2 invite!

I find War Thunder (formerly world of planes) far better than World of Warplanes.
